Hi ! My name is Benjamin Winkel and I am a professional woodworker, and in particular, wood-turner from Denmark
I began my journey as a hobbyist and quickly became passionate about that kind of artisan work, and today I can share this passion with you.

Beauty from nature
Wood is an absolute poetic wonder to work with. Each essence comes with its language, and my work is to learn that language so that, when I apply the finishing touches, the piece feels like it comes to a whole new life, shining its beauty.
I don’t seek to “tame” the wood. I seek a partnership. Wood is beautiful it’s a given, but my work is not about the most perfect wood. Common wood such as maple, willow or ash are what is local and accessible to everyone resiliently. It’s those essences that I try to sublimate.
These techniques and skills I have developed, I am happy to share them with my community, and I would be happy to teach them to you
